Anyone hear about Qside federal credit union before or have any experience with them? I have been trying to get someone on the phone for over 2 weeks. I was researching and stumbled across them. Their auto loan rates seem really good. Just wondering what's the catch besides the membership requirements.
Same rates for new, used and refinanced vehicles (doesn't specify year age)
WITHOUT 0.50% payroll deduction discount rates are:
1.79% ~ 35 months
2.25% ~ 59 months
2.49% ~ 83 months
3.95% ~ 84+ months
It goes on to say:
The lowest APR that Qside will grant is 2.0% APR, including any payroll deduction discounts
That seems to contradict the 1.79% APR which doesn't even include the payroll deduction.
Apparently the branch never answers the phones or responds to emails

Does not seem like a good way to start a relationship - imagine if you had a problem with a loan or payment or deposit. There are too many good credit unions available that anyone can join to start out (join) with one lacking in service even before you make a deposit or take out a loan.
A few years ago NASA FCU was the flavor of the month on MyFico where everyone was jumping on that train (ok rocket) - some folks ended up happy and satisfied, but most/many found them to be unresponsive and difficult to deal with even setting up an account - who needs that headache?

I second this. IMO, a financial institution with bad communication = a bad financial institution.
