I listen to Clark Howard on the radio. He is a consumer advocate, of sorts. On one of his recent radio shows he mentioned that the federal law has recently changed regarding collection accounts for medical purposes on credit files. It is my understanding that they don't count or must be removed, or something like that. You might check out his website for accurate information.
