Re: R U FREAKIN KIDDING ME!!

cruisincindy,

I appreciate your response.  I absolutely will be able to afford paying $576.00 per month because I am paying it now and I have been paying it for the last two years.  Yes I do have student loans that are deferred but I work in a field that qualifies my loans for forgiveness after I pay on them for 10 years.  Also, I would like to stress that I AM NOT having a problem paying my current car loan.  I have just been repairing my credit and I thought that it would be a good idea to refinance now because of better scores!  If I cannot get the car refinanced then no BIGGIE....I will just continue to pay the car payment as I have been paying it and preferrably pay it off sooner.  I have no desire to sell it and it will be paid off in four years!

Re: R U FREAKIN KIDDING ME!!

Mifune,

Thanks for your response as well!  I understand completely what you are saying.  This whole financing process seems a bit backwards to me.  When my credit was completely terrible and I had  student loans ($20,000) I was able to get this car financed throught the credit union.  Granted, this is not my first vehicle as I have purchased two vehicles and paid them off.  One, a 1998 toyota camry that I purchased brand new and still drive to this day.  Another, a 1999 toyota solara that I purchased brand new as well and used as a trade in when I got my car in 2008.  Now that I have worked so hard to get my scores up, it just seems like its even harder.  As far as my salary is concerned, I expect that to increase once I finish with school.  I do have credit cards but they are all reporting a zero balance and I use them every so often to keep them active and then pay off immediately.  Besides the student loans and my car note....I really don't have much debt.  I do have the usual bills that people pay monthly light bill, cell phone, and etc.  I don't have a mortgage payment because when I went through my divorce my ex and I were able to sell our home up state and when I relocated down here I was able to fully purchase my house that I am living in now.  I have decided to go ahead and take care of the remaining collections that are on my report.  Yes, I did post in Comic Sans.  Also, if I don't get the car refinanced then its not a problem I can completely afford the car I just thought that since I worked so hard to improve my scores I would look into refinancing for a better interest rate.  (so i thought)!
