I'm jumping up in joy!!![]()
In February 2011 I got my 2010 Honda Fit through Honda and was approved at 9.74% 60months. When I got approved I had a auto enhanced score of 653.
I'm looking to purchase a house in the next year and needed to reduce my dti and also wanted to reduce my apr but, still will pay the same amount. So, I decided to try and refi with my bank, bank of america. I submitted the application online and was called within the hour and was asked security questions and information about the car. A few minutes later he told me you are approved at 60 months 3.9% or 72 months 4.23% ...my jaw dropped I could not believe it. They gave me my equifax score 656 and it was not auto enhanced.
I chose to go with the 72 months. I will still continue to make my old payment amount for now but, it gives me more flexibility when I start shopping for homes.
Almost forgot but, I applied with Capital One, since I have a credit card with them, and there Apr came back at 15%...there crazy!!!
Awesome. The lower payments will help with your DTI when you try to qualify for a house. Win-Win for you! Congrats.
