Should I refi

I needed a car last year and shopped around and got a 9.46 intrest rate from Capital One with a 654 TU score when I put down 2K on a 24500 car.  Loan was finalized 12/31/2013, I wasn't much happy with the rate but I needed to buy something fast.  I have paid my loan down to 17552 over the last 14 months.  I am wondering if I sould refi and who I should refi with.  TU score is now 709 and I got the one baddie off of my credit report.  I have increased my credit card limits from 1300 to 12500 so my utilization is under 10%.  I could just pay the car off this year but I am trying to save as much as possible for a house down payment.

I still have a problem with Equifax that i'm working on, and have a freeze on my account.  I am wondering if I do refi, what kind of rate I can look at and whom I might be able to get a refi loan from in minnesota.

Any help is appreciated.

Re: Should I refi

I don't see any downside of refinancing this loan, it will cost you an HP but probably will reduce the interest by far more than half.  DCU seems to be the place to go for someone with your scores.  Let us know what you decide to do.
