Im looking to purchase a vehicle in May 2009... Right now Im working on some PFD's on my CR's. I have been told that Carmax works with you and that they qualify you if you have bad credit. I had a reposession in 2007 with Drive Financial and am currently paying on it and expect to finish paying on it by the end of this year,
I am willing to put down 3,000 to 4,000 and the kind of car that I am interested in is a Nissan Murano... not a new one a 2004 and up would be fine, I am also not looking for a brand new car. My credit scores right now are horrible but I do have about 8 PFD's in the works.
Thanks
Strong
Please dont suggest that I get a car... I have three children and need something with room, but not too painful on gas.. The Nissan Murano is 20mpg which is not so bad compared to other suv's
Plus it looks good!!![]()
Strong Lady,
I'm not an expert on cars by ANY means but when I was looking for a car I saw that you can get a 2007 PT Cruiser with low mileage and the works (ABS, automatic, nice sound system, etc) for around 8-10K and it gives 30 miles per gallon and is roomy. From what I've read that would really help you out seeing you would have potentially 50% of the car value ready as a downpayment. Senior forurmers, feel free to correct me! ![]()
I have to second what elixandrea says - my son got a PT about 18 months ago and he loves it. It's roomy and runs well and has great safety ratings. You can find a screaming deal at any dealership now, or go through a private party to get a used one with low miles.
Triad Financial does subprime auto loans, so if you google them, you should be able to get some details on how to apply. I used them five years ago, then refinanced when my credit got better.
Good luck to you. You can usually get a better deal when you walk in with your loan ready to go, as it saves time and your nerves!

Every person I know with a PT Cruiser really likes it. To me they look both cute and practical, so I was surprised when Chrysler recently stopped making them.
