I recently applied for an Auto loan with DCU and was approved in March of this year. I just happened to look at my Equifax and I have THREE inquiries on my account!!!!!
I applied for the credit union first. Then I called and Applied for an auto loan and was instantly approved. Then I opened a checking account a few days later I needed that for a checking acccount with direct deposit for the loan. Is that why I have three? Even for a checking account?? YIKES!!!! Shouldnt there only be two? Argh. I am disputing one of them.

Yes, that's why you have three. Even for a checking account. However, I hear that CUs can use a single inq for multiple products. Usually, I think you have to call instead. I'm not familar with DCUs procedures though.
My experience and understanding are that: experience, when you open if you do the requisite savings and checking at the same time, it's one HP (I opened in anticipation of a future auto loan did checking and savings 1 HP): and understanding, that you can apply for more than one credit product at the same time from the same HP, i.e. auto loan and cc- not sure about that one, will be testing it out in the next few months
If you opened a checking/savings account, that'd be 1 pull and a loan product would be a 2nd. Did you maybe open a CC? I did when I was approved for my loan with them, but they used the same pull as my auto loan since it was within 30 days. Maybe you were outside of that 30 days.
Nope it was all within a couple of weeks with DCU. Argh I am going to dispute it Wonder if I should give DCU a call too to ask abut it.
Yes, contact them first.

My local BECU uses 1 for everything as long as it's done in the same 24-48 hour period. I got my CC and auto refi with the same pull a couple years ago.
I'm considering DCU when I go to refi this car loan at the end of the year... but with 3 pulls I might just stick with my local CU. They already told me 700's will get me around a 2% rate... and I'll be there at the end of the year when everything falls off my reports.
With Penfed, It is 1 HP for 90 days.. But definately ring them first..
