Title Question? (IL Resident)

Not really sure where this falls in the Topics, so I put it under Auto loan.

Quite some time ago, I almost sold my car to a dealership.
So much so that they stamped their dealership name on the title of my vehicle.
The sale was never finalized, so they returned the title to me.

My question is - Can I resell the car with this title or do I need to purchase a new title for my car because of their stamp being on the title?
I've tired looking on the IL DMV site but No luck..
Would rather save myself the $96 Duplicate Title fee @_@ but If I can't sell the car because of the marking on the title, I'll happily do it.

I don't know the answer but if you need a duplicate title i would try to see if the dealership will pay the duplicate cost since they stamped a little too early.

Welp I went down to the DMV.

Guy looked at it and said "Usually no..but this was 3 years ago.." (2013) .. The only way would be for the Dealership to switch the title over to their name, and then sign it back over to you.
OORRR.... it could be lost..
