my wife sees similar high $ deals offered through usaa, but when we actually applied for the auto loan, the approved amount was less that 20K. you have to apply to find out exactly how much they will lend you.
on the bright side, but not auto loan related, but i was pre-approved for usaa amex through the my offers deal. i can't get a card otherwise with a couple collections still on my CR, but they approved me for the amex with 3K CL. for reference, i applied for the usaa MC immediately afterward and was denied.
