What a roller coaster.

Such a roller coaster. So cap one took back the pre approval, and denied me. I sent in my pay stubs as requested. I needed to make 1800 monthly. I sent in 3 stubs, I get paid bi weekly. The my gross was 1400, 1200, and 1100. I make over the 1800 monthly, because my pay rate includes tips, and commission, they only accept my hourly rate. I make more in tips and commission than I do hourly.

Ive never bought a new car, I've only paid out right for pieces of junk.

Can anyone tell me if all finance company's do this? Anyone who works on tips and commission successfully used that as part of your monthly income?

Re: What a roller coaster.

I'd either look at a few local credit unions or maybe even small town banks in a small town where people don't earn much money. They usually have lower income requirements since people don't make a lot of money in that area. Your base salary before tips will satisfy them and also a human at a bank will understand more about your specific situation than a computer at Capital One ever will

I'm sorry to hear about your denial. I'd  look into CU's as stated above.

Re: What a roller coaster.

Thank you both! I was considering opening a account at a credit union, and also considered just going to ford and try to finance directly with them. I was just worried that both will tell me the same thing, that my hourly income doesn't meet their standards. my hourly is only just above minimum wage, I'm a cosmetologist, so my name income is my tips, and commission.

Re: What a roller coaster.

 Try Westlake Finacial

 You can also try CarMax.

Most car companies have their own first time buyer programs.

Take your monthly income and carve out 20%, you shouldn't pay more than that a month.

Re: What a roller coaster.

Most lenders will look at your income listed on your pay stub.  So if everything is paid on the paystub you should be fine.  CapOne can be quirky sometimes.

Re: What a roller coaster.

I would recommend getting your financing ahead of time.

Try DCU.
