Anyone know if any auto lenders that will finance a 2002 corvette? Id probably only be interested in doing it as an auto loan not a personal loan.
My current lender wells Fargo only does 5 years old or newer. .2 of my local credit unions will only do back to 2005. I am not affiliated with the military. Any suggestions?
I was a Corvette guy myself, until 2008 when bad times made me sell the last one that I had for over 34 years, and I miss it.
My CU would lend money on older vehicles. I know you said yours does not.
A couple suggestions:
If you're buying from a dealer, they should be able to help you find financing.
If not from a dealer, ask any guy you see driving an older collectible car. All of them dont pay cash to buy one.
My next suggestion is to look at the insurers for those types of vehicles. Assuming you are not going to use it as a daily driver, I would suggest Grundy or Hagerty. I used Hagerty, but my car was a 63 and they specialize in cars over 25 years old. Grundy specializes in newer cars, but not regular cars. Hagerty also offers financing. but I never checked the rates. As a side note, my insurance thru Hagerty was about one third what it was from my regular insurer, for full coverage all year, but again, it was for pleasure use and not a daily driver, and it had agreed value coverage. I had several friends with newer cars that used Grundy.
Next suggestion would be Lightstream, part of SunTrust, mostly aimed at 'good credit'.
Last, and maybe the best suggestion, is DCU. They will finance cars like that. You could apply online.
