Re: When R u officially late ???

30 days late is what is says.....30 Days.  I would still call the lender to let them know when they will recieve the payment.  You should have no problem.

Re: When R u officially late ???

Like the previous poster said 30 days is the point at which they are allowed to report it 30 days late, but I wouldn't test them. I too recommend that you call and let them know what is going on. Make it clear it is a one time thing. I would also ask them about whatever late penalty fee you may incur.

Re: When R u officially late ???

As others have said, they won't report you as late to the CRA's, but there may be late penalties for being X number of days late.  Just check your loan docs to see what fees, if any, they will levy if you are late with your payment so you won't be surprised.  Sometimes these late fees can be significant!  And if there are going to be more lates give them a call and forewarn them.

And if you pay a few days late, but don't include those late penalties in your payment, you may find out too late and end up with a 30 day late anyway...

Re: When R u officially late ???

Are you sure that your car loan doesn't have a grace period?

My car payments are due on the 15th of every month, but aren't considered "late" until the 25th because of the 10 day grace period. Check on that, as it may save you the headache and worry.

Re: When R u officially late ???

I have NMAC auto loan.  They give you ten-day grace period before you get charged a late fee, and don't report you late unless you pass the 30-day, from the day your payment is actually due.
