auto accident question

somone rearended me last thurs!! charged with driving 2 fast for cond. her ins. co. said they would pay for diminishing value of auto!! i have a 2007 ford fusion SE. how does ins. co come up with that value???? what kind of computer value do they use?? can i get access to that site?? any help would be appreciated!!!!

Was the vehicle totalled? If yes, then I hope you had GAP insurence. If the vehicle is not totalled, file a calim with your insurance and have them deal wth the other persons insurance. Thats the easiest way to do it.  That value is arrived at through looking at  different matrices regarding car values in the auto industry.

Don't trust what her auto insurance is gonna do for you, only trust yours. I agree with Takunda 1...

My mom was just involved in a car accident a few months ago. Her insurance company valued the car using KBB as well as the current market value by comparing it to the same vehicles being sold in the area at the time.
