auto loan like never b/4

Bought a truck or so i thought as unbelievable as it sounds they had an outside group handling inventory reduction who changed info on credit app which i never signed  I had given general info income, ssn, address .Dealer told  me  he could see what i had written so he submitted another credit app w/o my knowledge. I had been through 2 dealer tags by then 1st had my name next 7 dealer temp.Imaginary down payment on second contract $ 4000.00 still had issues because i had left my job he listed on app but he was clueless since i was'nt consulted.Ran credit 25 - 30 times in 3 mos.Ending w/ repo driver calling customer of mine to find out if i was there which totally caught me off guard considering they just gave me another dealer tag and put it on the day b/4 so when I called the dealership they said no repo order was out. I called the repo agent and told him I would meet him in a couple of days to surrender truck once i found out what was going on if legitimate.Spoke w / parent company did'nt have time to fight at that time it's just within 2 years is there a time frame to seek remedies in Texas. Thanks for taking time to help in advance

Re: auto loan like never b/4

I was told there was legal remedies for somebody running your credit without your knowledge and fraudulently providing credit apps on my behalf did not know there was a statute on that again thanks for your time

Consult a consumer protection attorney. Statute of limitations is 4 yeara in the majority of the country for fraud.

Re: auto loan like never b/4

Sounds like they let you drive off the lot assuiming the financing would go through?

I guess they tried it every which way once they started getting denials. Sounds like someone dropped the ball at the dealer and they tried to fix it. Some lenders want X amount down to approve a loan and maybe they changed some figures around.

Push comes to shove and the parent company wants the truck back. Sounds like you need to go have a talk with the dealer ship..... You did agree to have your credit pulled when you applied for the loan and it can be pulled more than once. Though 25-30 times is certainly absurd. Realistically, it is what it is and I dont think anything can be done about the inquires.

I would print off a credit report showing the 25-30 inqs and see where that gets you at the dealer.

Re: auto loan like never b/4

So when I left the first time I had a signed contract interest rate and lender their signature on it and mine they can still keep pulling my credit// second time a month-and-a-half later when my payment got returned to me and inquiring about my tag is when they had me come in and sign contract with fraudulent down payment even with the same lender same interest rate even after that they continue to run my credit to the same creditors ran it through four five times I had the truck 10 months after 3 months I quit mailing in my payments because they forced me into a default modr because my insurance cancelled because they wouldn't put the title in my name I just don't want this to happen to anybody else at least at that dealership I've got the signed contracts with the fraudulent information on it some say you got a free truck for 10 months but it's not like I just got to go out and enjoy it it was a headache Non-Stop pulled over twice //on the side of the road for an hour and a half because the story was unbelievable yet true

Truthfully, its almost impossible to follow along with what you are saying. What you've said is nearly unintelligible due to formatting and grammer.

Maybe its best you talk to someone in person, like a lawyer.

Best of luck.

I apologize I tend to ramble when I talk about this event. I guess to keep it simple I didn't think it was legal for a dealership to take your credit application change your information such as income, employment, etc.,and resubmitt it without your knowledge.

Re: auto loan like never b/4

I'm sure it's not legal for anyone to submit an application with information that they changed from your real information. But it is kind of hard to follow whether they put your job down not knowing that you had left it.

I'd call these people https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/cpd/consumer-protection  They have an 800 number and regional offices.
