I need a car and found one. My student loan has just went into default, I have made payment arrangments but it will remain on my credit report as in default for the next 9 mths. Has anyone been in this situation or know of any companies that may still approve financing for a car other than buy here pay here lots? Does anyone have any banks to recommend?
In this credit climate it is almost impossible to get financing with anything that is currently derog.. If you need a car I would try until everyone said no, dealerships are in the business of moving cars and will go to bat for you with the lenders they use!
