chances with Toyota Financing?

I have had some issues in the past with cc going to collections, so my scores range from about 557-590 (two months ago). I have recently paid off everything and my only debt is approx. 40k in student loans, which I've never been late on. I have 1 cc with a $550 limit, which has no/very low balance.

I'd like to purchase a certified used Toyota which is listed at 22k, and have a trade-in valued (by them) at 7k, and 3k to use as additional down payment.

I make $59,500 a year (gross), and have been on the job for one year.

Anyone have any idea whether or not Toyota will finance me? I'd hate to go in, and be declined Smiley Sad

Re: chances with Toyota Financing?

How recent are those collections?

You said you recently paid off "everything" - is that CCs? If so you might want to pull your CRs again (after all the accounts have had time to report to the CRs - usually on or shortly after the statement date). Paying off CCs can give your scores a huge boost; you might be pleasantly surprised.

Re: chances with Toyota Financing?

hi, the collections were charged-ff (or sent to collections, not sure of right term), about 1 year ago, and I paid off all of them between April and July. It was all credit card stuff.

I have had 2 auto loans, which I think I had 1 30-day late on (the other was no late payments), which I've successfully paid off.

What about RoadLoans? Anyone have ideas for success with them? I'm going to check local credit unions as well.

thanks
