will navy federal match interest rate? my car decided to go caput... my util is kinda high right now. nfcu offered 8% chase offered 5% i know thats high but im sitting at 669 eq and buying a car was something i didnt plan on doing until august when only good things will be on my report... lol will nfcu match chase i sent secured mess. to ask but thought id ask here too

When I went in a few weeks ago I got the local dealer to match navy (haha I told them a lower number than what navy offeres do they beat them a little). Then I called NFCU and said. Look the local credit union offered This rate at this this term. Can you guys do any better? The guy put me on hold and came back and said. I have good news. We can Do X% at Y Term OR <X% at <Y Term.
I said thank you very much. I want X and Y. They said to procede and they would update my profile.
I am now paying 2.79 for 72 months rather than 4.79 for 84 months... (this is for a 2014 Jetta TDI)
