My wife called Transunion and Equifax today to request an early exclusion since our BK 7 ten year file date is August 18. Transunion said no such thing exists but said the BK would fall off July 18. Equifax stated that it's against the law to remove the BK 7 before August 18th.
No no such luck with this mystery early exclusion. Even tried management and no luck. Should she try again later?

Darn!!! It is always a hit or miss depending on who you get
Maybe try again in a month, you are so close though!
OP - It's not against the law. Equifax rep is stating incorrect information, which I am sure they are trained to say. As information, I was able to get Transunion to do an early exclusion in May. They processed the exclusion six months early. I was also able to get an early exclusion for Experian approximately four months early, although that phone call was really touch and go. I have a hunch that they look at your entire file when they consider an EE. If you are otherwise clean, I think Transunion and Experian will give you a break. On the other hand, I have not found Equifax cooperative at all. However, I continue to ask and ask and ask, and I will continue to ask until it falls off.
You should be seeing some reflief in the next few weeks, even if you did not get an EE. What is your status ?
