BK and changes in credit scores

My spouse and I had to file CH 13 last year.  We have been in repayment for 1 year now. I have noticed my credit score has been increasing however, my husband's credit score has barley changed.  If we filed joint, obviosuly can't open any new lines of credit, any ideas on what could be impacting the different scores?  I know it probably shouldn't matter becasue we can't do anything financially anyway but I'm just curious.  We will have to move next year and the BK alone will be an issue but I figured a higher credit score might help with rental purposes until we can buy.  Any thoughts?

Re: BK and changes in credit scores

Have you viewed your actual credit reports at annualcreditreport.com?  There might be something reporting on his that is keeping the score down.  Everyone's profile is different and will react differently to various events.

Re: BK and changes in credit scores

Don’t even worry about those credit karma scores. They use a vantage score that is rarely used by lenders. You need to look at your actual FICO scores.

All of your previous history is what determines score. I’d assume you have differing profiles which will result in different scores. Sometimes a trustee will approve smaller secured cards, may be worth a shot. Good luck
