Bank just reported auto loan IIB 1 year 5 months post discharge

Looking for advice and to see if I have any recourse, I filed BK in Oct 2019.  It was discharged Feb 2020.  I ended up not reaffirming my car loan but have continued to pay it monthly (am going to pay it off Tuesday when the banks open).  The bank I have the loan through just reported the account as IIB at the end of June 2021.  My scores took a small hit (EQ down 6 and EX down 10, TU hasn't updated yet).  Is there anything I can do? Or do I just have to live with them having reported over a year later?

@Anonymous, I'm in the same boat except mine has been paid off for five years now.  I asked your same question a number of months ago and was told to just live with it, it isn't disputable and it will fall off when your bankruptcy falls off.  I hope that advice is correct as my bankruptcy is set to fall off my reports in January 2022.

The only good news is as time goes by it will impact your scores less and less.

Chapter 13:

  • Burned: AMEX, Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo, and South County Bank (now Bank of Southern California)
  • Filed: 26-Feb-2015
  • MoC: 01-Mar-2015
  • 1st Payment (posted): 23-Mar-2015
  • Last Payment (posted): 07-Feb-2020
  • Discharged: 04-Mar-2020
  • Closed: 23-Jun-2020

I categorically refuse to do AZEO!

Since you didnt reaffirm. They only report IIB. They cant even have a balance showing. It would look like they are collecting a debt. It will fall off. On the bright side it isnt counting against any util on a installment loan. I reaffirmed my loan but had 8 payments left. It did say reaffirmed and showed all the payments on time. But from file date to DC. No reporting was done. It will pass. congrats on paying it off.
