Hello,
Filed for Bankruptcy four months ago and it's been a month and a half since discharged. Starting the credit rebuilding process, I didn't have a lot of big name cards just a few store brand cards on my credit profile. I burned capital one for a $1,000 and the cards I had were store branded cards under cap1, Sychrony and comenity. I applied for a Capital One platinum secured card and was approved, I check the pre-approval and my choices was quick silver or platinum, I also opened a self account and so far so good. I was shocked to get approved for a capital one credit card after filing for bankruptcy but the cap1 accounts was charged off three years ago before filing bankruptcy.... Just some information for anyone who interested in applying for a capital one credit card, Thanks😊
Welcome @charmer50 and congrats. Gotta start somwhere. Baby steps for now. You'll bounce back like many of us.
Appreciate the encouragement😊
It took me exactly a year to get back in with Cap 1 from filing. They wouldn't even approve me for a secured card. I ship at Walmart alot and been doing the pre-approval for that card almost monthly and didn't get any love. I said the hell with it and tried for any cap1 pre approval last week and they finally approved me for a savor card with a $300 limit and a 39 annual fee.
That's almost a tease and a FU because with $300 limit it will be hard to get enough cash back to make up for the annual fee.
Congratulations 👏🎉
I had two cap1 cards and one store card serviced by cap1 charged off about three years ago before I filed for bankruptcy, I thought it would take at least a year before approval by cap. Bigger and better cards for us in the near future... Congrats😊
