Can someone please explain how my report should look after discharge?

I'm very very confused. .

Before filing, I'm pretty sure I never missed a due date. But when hiring my attorney he said that I should stop paying the creditors. So I did. This was in January

I filed in the beginning of February and was discharged a few days ago.

My credit report is very confusing to me now as it says I have 6 negative indicators and I'm not sure if that is just talking about the ch7

I'm just really confused about how late payments should be listed on here. I have 2 chase cards listed that Experian shows as having a late 90+ days and that it went to collections. Like I said, before considering bankruptcy I never missed a payment and I hired my lawyer mid January and filed early February so where can this 90+ late payment even be?? I am so confused.

Most cards are showing a late in February which Was my filing month, is that alright?

Some other things in finding is that I had a discover card that was closed, but Equifax its showing it as open but in the notes it says included in bankruptcy

Can someone please explain how these closed accounts should appear? And also what grounds could there be for opening a dispute

I'm fine with accepting a very low credit score since I did in fact go bankrupt, but I just want to make sure that my resorts are accurate and I'm not getting an even worse score than I should.

Welcome to the forums, Ernessie.

Legally speaking, accounts post-bankruptcy must report:

-$0 balance

-Included in bankruptcy / discharged in bankruptcy

-Closed

Your past due payment indicators are a statement of fact (meaning you indeed missed payments). They will lose relevance as time goes on.

With that said, if you contend that you never missed a payment on your Chase card but see a 90+ day past due mark, I'd dispute to get it changed to 'pays as agreed'.

I just went round and round with Equifax - they finally fixed my stuff.

Also, if your Discover card was successfully closed before bankruptcy and was not included, dispute it. If you accidentally listed Discover in your creditor matrix, unfortunately that may be hard to fix as they would have been notified.

Hi

You may want to call Chase to comfirm they got the BK notification. I had something similar happen to me, the creditor reported me as past due and when I disputed it Equifax said it was correctly reported so I eneded up calling the credit card companys collections area and they told me that they had never received notice that I filed. Once I provided them documention they reported it correctly.

Thanks

Robert
