Cap 1 no prequal

My wife was discharged from BK11  six months ago and is looking to start building again.

She has tried the Cap 1 prequal site but has found no offers multiple times.

She has never had any of their products ever so no history of burning them.

Her next choice is to cold app.

If she does cold app for such a card as a Platinum and is denied will they possibly extend an offer for a secured or is that it ?

I haven’t read any data points on Cap1 offering a secured if the original app is denied. Maybe someone else can chime in...

I'm with Jag. I know Discover does this but Cap1 I cant recall them offering this. You could try to clear your cookies ang go incognito and try.

She ended up cold app'ing.

Approved $3000 CL

She was expecting a toy limit at best because she was never pre-qualified every time she tried.

Cap 1 is weird.

Congrats! You cant predict any CCC and how they operate. My last Disco CLI was denied for unsufficient blah blah blah. The next week $2200. After 3 statements ask for a SP CLI. If you in Credit Steps you'll get more $ after 5 on-time payments. Enjoy!
