OK thanks for the info, even though it wasn’t what I wanted to hear.
No problem. Sometimes we all hear things we dont too, me included. I do have a question though....At first, when I read your post I was a little confused by the word "completed". Thats usually reserved for a BK13. So, I would assume you mean your BK7 wasnt "discharged", and was dismissed instead.
Why was it dismissed? Only a handful of folks who file BK7 get theirs dismissed, and its usually because the trustee "found something" they didnt like or found suspicious surrounding the BK itself, and therefor moves to dismiss the case rather than discharging it. The other handful of folks decide at the last minute they dont want to go through with it, and their attorney's ask for a dismissal. Just curious...
on a side note...the BK will remain in the PR section on your reports for 10 yrs from your original file date.

It was dismissed because I never went through with it. Will it still stay on my report for 10 years?
Yes. I answered that question at the beginning. You DID file a BK7. Regardless if you went thru with it or not, you still filed in a federal BK court. That fact that you never went thru with it, means it was "dismissed", and will regardless stay on your reports for 10 yrs.
