congrats on your discharge.

not speaking from experience because I am still waiting for my discharge but I believe I've seen a few posts saying Cap1 doesnt necessarily blacklist you after burning them. I guess the only way to find out would be to try. Not sure about Credit One.

Hopefully others post with more concrete info for you. I'm also curious about Cap1 because I burned them in BK (secured 500CL- started as 300 and they gave me an increase and unsecured 500CL) so it would be nice to know if I can go back to them afterward considering I had great history with them prior to the bk

Like Greed said, Cap1 is a mixed bag. Only way to really find out is to try. Credit one seems to be more forgiving. I would try Cap1 first

Based on the info I've come across, CapOne will (almost always) let you back in 1 year from your charge-off date. If the account wasn't charged off prior to filing BK, it will be 1 year from your discharge date. I've only read a couple of posts on various forums about people being denied after the 1 year mark when they were otherwise qualified.

I don't know about Credit One, I'm not going to bother with them so I haven't done any research.

Almost correct. It's the file date, not the discharge date that needs a year. Once the account is included in the BK that is the date that will start the 12 month ticker.

I remember seeing on the forums somewhere that someone was denied for Cap 1 when they went through the site, but when they went through Cap1 via Credit Karma's suggestion for applying for the card they were approved. I'm not sure if this works for everyone, or possibly a loophole??

for cap 1 the one year rule is when the account was charged off. For me since I was current, it will be the day of discharge, of course nothing is set in stone.
BK Discharged 06/02/2016 SCORES AROUND 475

Almost correct. It's the date of first charge off or filing. So, close. One year later and your back. But, your BK must be completely discharged and show in the system.
