Hello
I have a question, one that might have been asked many times.. I have a chapter 13 bankruptcy that is due to come report off this month. It has been 10 years to the month. My question is, when exactly does bankrupty come off reports, end of this month? I am curious because I started repairing my credit about 6 months back using everything I have learned from this website. I started with a 560 score, now I am sitting at about 620
I am curious if my score will go up more when the bk drops off, or will it stay around the same because it is old and not pulling score down very much anymore? Any insight would really be appreciated. Thanks!!
You'll surely gain a few points, but I wouldn't expect huge gains because of the age of the public record and the fact that it isn't affecting your score all that much anymore.
Thanks for responding! DO you know when they actually drop off report? End of the month that it is due to come off in?
Thanks
Thanks a bunch. Cant happen soon enough. It will finally close a chapter of financial ruin for me!! Take care & thanks again
I thought Chapter 13, only stay on your report for 7 years?? From my understanding it's from the date of filing, not discharge. Why is yours 10 years?
Thank you. I understand .

Any way you can ask to be removed before? I'm 9 months away and it was listed as a reason on a credit approval.
Want to remove it from my life completely!!!
Won't happen prior to 6 months.
TU has been known to delete 6 months early... EQ and EX 1-3 months early.
You have to call or mail a request.
