Chapter 13 & Credit reporting

I've been trying deligently to get a clear answer on, while in chapter 13, regarding Section 7 ( list of creditors),  My understanding is that once this is done, accounts should be closed, also when they are part of the repayment plan those accounts should also be closed.

The problem,  my credit report shows such accounts as opened, and late on a monthly basis.  All the research I've done thus far has been inconclusive.  My BK attorney's  office is no help.   Any input is appreciated.

Re: Chapter 13 & Credit reporting

I assume your attorney and/or the trustee required YOU to close the accounts as part of filing. However, yes, they should report IIB (included in bankruptcy) with a zero balance once your case is confirmed. It might take a billing cycle for them to report properly, though. If more than a billing cycle has gone by, dispute with the credit reporting agencies, sending them a copy of the account schedule, if required.
