Chapter 7

Yes I lost my job in June 2024 and my mother has had to pay my charge accounts.   I have to wait at least two years before I can file again but can you start the process 2 years early.  I'm having a hard time with the payments now.

Re: Chapter 7

I don't believe there is any scenario where you can file any sooner. I'm more concerned on why you have to file back to back BK's? Until you can figure out that answer none of it will be helpful for you going forward

Sorry my intention honestly wasn't to be negative with you or your situation but I think it is counter productive on your part until you can understand what you're doing wrong and break the cycle otherwise nothing changes and you will be stuck in this loop forever..   If you want a pat on the back for going bankrupt every couple years this probably isn't the place for you. If you want to try and improve your situation there's plenty of folks willing to help you. (Including myself)

Was there a question you were asking?

In the meantime, yes, you can file 20 times and don't need to justify it to anyone. But typically people post here for advice, and any advice would start wit hhelping you to figure out why you have had the need to file 5-6 years after filing.

Re: Chapter 7

I understand how challenging this must be for you. While you can’t file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy until the required waiting period has passed, there are still other options to explore in the meantime. You might want to consider negotiating with creditors or looking into alternative debt relief options, like a Chapter 13 bankruptcy or a debt management plan.  Also seeking legal assistance can help you explore all available options and ensure you're managing this tough situation in the most effective way possible.

Re: Chapter 7

I am getting everything ready to file a Chapter 7 myself. I find the paperwork and whatnot (atleast with my lawyer) to be EXHAUSTIVE. We moved back from South America to the states and I found myself in a world of trouble financially. I tried a not for profit organization that helps with debts and they did lower my interest and payments but I cant even keep up with the program so I see no other options. Hope it all worked out for you
