One thing I am trying to understand...
My credit report, over a year after discharge states that I have a "significant" amount of bad payment history. This is all based on the auto loan that I reaffirmed and currently pay timely and without issue. Before the bankruptcy, and part of the reason why I filed, is that I fell behind in those payments and carried it behind for 4-6 consecutive months. So, what I am trying to gather here...should that (pre-bankruptcy) payment history be eliminated from my report per the "discharge" and then the "post bankruptcy" payments be reported or do I have to live with those ugly marks on my report since I reaffirmed? It seems obvious to me that anything, especially late payments before I even filed should not be reporting as "accounts iin bad standing" Unless I'm just missing something here...HELP!
The BK doesn't wipe away anything prior to your filing date. Unfortunately it is reporting correctly. Keep your chin up, the late payments will age and hurt less
