Deletion of Bankruptcy?

I have three questions and appreciate any and all help.
I am wondering when each of these bankruptcies will fall from my credit files.

1. Chapter 13 dismissed; filed Nov. 1998
2. Chapter 7 discharged; filed Oct 2001
3. Chapter 13 discharged; filed Apr 2004

When will each of those "fall off" my credit report? And will they do so automatically, or will I have to intiate that?

Thanks,

Ron

Re: Deletion of Bankruptcy?

13 should drop after   7 years.
7 should drop after 10 years.

I'm a little worried that you aren't grasping the concept of bankruptcy.  It's intended to give you a fresh start to make the right decisions, not to repeat the wrong decisions.

If you are too worried about your credit rating, that means you are on the hunt for credit.  You need to evaluate your life and see what you can do to live within your means.  You need to run on a cash basis.

I'm don't mean to be preachy, as I went through a Ch 7.  For me, it was a life changing event.  I have since learned so much.  I can actually live life now and will eventually acheive a modest retirement.  I hope the same for you.
