Well, it came in Got an email this morning from my attorney , checked my courts RSS feed and there I was...Automatic Discharge ordered. I wish I could be more happy about this but now its time for cleaning up. Got a letter in the mail for a debt that wasn't listed and a new CA is trying to collect, another debt that was listed they are trying to collect....so I have my work cut out for me
However I do feel relieved , that chapter of my life is litterally closed
! Thank you guys for sharing your stories, I have learned soo much from you all . I'll post later my scores after I get everything squared away .
Congrats!
Well they can't collect on either debt. Just send your discharge papers to the one that was included AND the one that wasn't inlcuded. Head on over to the rebuilding forum there is a lot of information to help you there.
I forgot to include somethings in mine and later found out that ANY debt that was acquired before filing can't be collected on. When I find the link to the post I will be sure to place it here for you.
Again congrats and good luck with your rebuild journey.

Yes I read that somewhere on here and then on another site whe I was doing research. It's crazy how I contacted my attorney on the 2nd, recieved two notices in the mail on the 3rd, and an email on the 4th of discharge.....what a week ![]()
Congrats! Welcome to rebuilding. Make sure you have a plan in place. You don't want to go applying everywhere and wracking up more inquiries that necessary. Take your time and breathe. If you want a card without a credit hit, look at the OpenSky secured card. Only $200 minimum deposit and low fees. They also report quickly to the CRAs. Good luck!
Congratulations!

Well congrats!! I'm glad you received it before Christmas. It sucks that you received the letters from the CA but as it was mentioned just send in your discharge papers to both and they shouldnt be a hassle. Shouldnt being the keyword. I see you've already gotten some credit as well so good luck in your rebuild!!
A big congrats to you!
Congrats!
