Has anyone heard of this and does it really actually impact your true FICO score? Basically they tout it as a way to 'get credit' and 'boost your score' by allowing them access to see where you've made valid payments from your bank account for utilities, cell phone, cable, etc. Obviously a boost after bankruptcy wouldn't be a bad thing. I used to use credit cards for those payments but since preparing for bankruptcy/and now recently filing I've been using my debit card for everything. I don't know if it's a gimmick though. I'm tired of FAKO scores. They tell me my FAKO score went up 100 points the day my bankruptcy hit my report. Many of my accounts have been closed in the past several weeks bringing my amounts owing way down. Perhaps that is a factor too. I know things will be all over the place for next few months and after discharge I plan to sign up as FICO member and follow the 24 month plan to 700. Anyway I didn't know whether or not this Experian deal affected a person's true FICO score....

I personally would never allow a company access my bank accouters etc to see if I paid rent on time so it can be reported to the CRA's. I personally would just rebuild the correct way, and you don't need any of that other stuff to do it. You don't need it.
Yesssss. That's the point at which I balked in the Experian Boost application when it wanted my Personal Private Bank Account information. Gack. TY for chiming that some of the more experienced and knowleable members here had trepidations about that area, too.
