FMCC and Discharged Ch. 13

Hi!  I am curious about how reporting works when a vehicle was included as part of my Ch. 13.  FMCC still shows the account on my reports as 'Wage Earner Plan'.  I thought that the account would no longer appear since it was part of the bankruptcy which is due to fall off my report in Nov. 2011.  I feel like I am being double dinged for this with the public record and a separate baddie.  Thanks for any help/information!! Hi TX,

All accounts that were included in your BK are properly reported as "Wage Earner Plan" (another way of saying CH13 BK) or as "IIB" (Included in Bankruptcy).  If they were included in your BK, then they are reporting accurately.

It can be kind of disheartening.  We actually paid off our car loan more quickly in the BK then we would have with the scheduled car loan payments.

We did ask our CU to goodwill the car loan.  It took three visits (I thought that was excruciating - argh!) but they finally did take it off the reports.  However, they took off the entire tradeline rather than just the negative reports, so it impacted our AAofA.

Re: FMCC and Discharged Ch. 13

Thank you beamMEup!  Both are due to come off in Nov. of 2011, so since I have waited this long I am not too worried about it.  Just wanted to know if it was right for FMCC to report it.  Wow, your whole trade line was removed?!  Thanks again....Smiley Happy
