Filing Chapter 7 Solo, One Joint Account With Wife
I am working with the SBA on a defaulted loan. If it does not work out, I will likely have to file Chapter 7 at some point in the future.
The SBA loan, mortgage, and all my debts are solely in my name, except for one credit card that my wife is joint on. Its balance is $3k.
If I have to file in the end, it will be a solo filing. So my question is, can my wife pay off the card she is joint on, with her own money to save her credit?

I would pay it off months before you file no matter how hard it is or what it takes.
Can she open another card in her name only and do a balance transfer?
It would just be less complicated.
