Ally Everyday Master Card. $1,000CL at 29.9 APR No annual Fee. 596 FICO with Transunion Pull a week after BK7 Discharge.
I wanted a card with no fee and automatic CLI after 6 months I hope this will be a good card. Going to keep it for 6 months until I decide where to apply next. I would love to get a Venture One Card again...really enjoyed traveling with that card (I charged off about 30k with Capital One so that might be a long shot.)
My BK7 was discharged May 2024 with a file Date in Jan 2024. I had over 140k in credit card debt discharged and burned a lot of credit card issuers, Ally was not one of them. I have a an active TL for my vehicle that has never been late.
Congrats on the card and starting your rebuilding process!
Op,
Congrats on the new card, hope this time around is a lot better.

Congratulations! I'm working on my rebuild myself. I see Ally is mail offers from a glance at their website, but I'm pretty sure I blocked my credit report from mail offers years ago. I may have to figure out how to remove that to see if I may receive one day.

Congrats on your first card after discharge! Did Ally guarantee that there would be an auto CLI in 6 months? My Ally card started as Ollo and when it was Ollo, I got 3 seperate CLI's that took my CL from $1500 to $4800. But ever since Ollo was acquired by Ally, I have yet to receive a CLI and you can't manually ask for one, they have to give it to you.
Don't give up hope on CapOne. I didn't burn them for as much as you did (mine was about $10K) and I was able to get back in with them about 10 months post discharge (give or take) and now I have 3 of their cards. CapOne tends to be very forgiving, you just have to keep checking their prequal page and one day it might pop up that you are prequalified.
Good luck moving forward on your rebuild!

I'm three months out from Ch 7 discharge. Ally was the second unsecured card I got after Cap1 Quicksilver. I think I saw them listed here several times (as Olly) and researched it and that's what led me to apply with them. I'd never heard of them before. Same $1000 limit. When I applied they gave me a 0% interest on purchases thru 3/20/25 (a year). After that it's 29.99%. My scores were around 625 when I applied with them.
I wasn't aware they do an automatic CLI after six months? I've had three statements now so I'm half way there if they do. I've read a few posts here about Ally where people have had a CLI then later a CLD because they've PIF each month (despite scores going up). I'm purposely keeping about 5% utilization on it so I always have a small balance. I rotate my cards weekly through the wallet so they each get used monthly.

Congrats on the approval!
