HARD inquiry question, please advise!

Ok, looking at my reports in the regular "hard" inquiry section, I noticed that I have about 4 collection companies from this year (January-April 2013) that pulled my reports!!

Can't I dispute these to have them removed? I didn't authorize them ! They are collections agencies for my original creditors that I filed BK on may 2013 probably trying to locate me since I hadn't made payments on those accts for about a year!

Am I stuck with the hard inquiries for the next two years???

Help!! Advice please!

No I'm afraid you can't dispute them. But now that I read what you stated again that they did a hard pull, I don't know that's a strange one. I suppose you can try but based on other post I think the bureaus will send you to the CA to request the removal. However, maybe someone with more experience will chime in.

Thank you for responding!!! I didn't know about the hard pulls from the CA until I pulled my reports!!

I didnt read the above thread so I apologize.. I can just tell you what my experience is. I had a collection agency pull my report prior to my filing and disputed it, CRA's came back saying because it was PRIOR to my BK filing date it was a valid collection attempt. Best of luck
