So I got my secured card back in July it became unsecured about a month or so ago to 2k which is wonderful. today as I was doing some things I figured I'd try the prequal as it's been 5 months and 5 statements on my current card and bam approved for gorewards 25k it's at 15.99% but I don't carry a balance so that's okay with me! I am just over 6 months discharge so just posting to give insight that it's possible to get solid credit lines after. Now I am in the garden till next year and can cancel my indigo card next year before the annual fee comes. They pulled TU 9 which luckily is my strongest score as well at 672.

thanks, I am pretty ecstatic about it! I didn't expect to hit five digit SL till a good two years after discharge. @Anonymous a great way to end the year,couldn't ask for a better ending,only going up more from here!

This is amazing! I am a few months in with my navy federal card and every month do the prequal to see if they bite but this shows hope. For a $25k CC what income level are we looking around if you don't mind me asking.

i have a 75k a year base pay but around 6 figures by end of year

Well I started my own company shortly after bankruptcy. The last half of this year did about 80k.

@Caliboy97  Navy looks at DTI and the relationship as well as income. FWIW the Navy prequal tool is totally and completely unreliable.

If you have waited 91 days and three full statements since your last card you can apply for a new card. Navy will pull TU Fico 9.

Thank you dude! Unless they factor in my student loans I only have about $300 in CC debt out of 7k Limits so far and my fico9 is 640 so probably wait till like feburary/March to pull trigger
