Should I wait until after discharge to apply for NFCU or is pre discharge okay?

Update: I actually just decided I would try it. 0 issues opening a savings and checking account. Discharge unknown but had 341 meeting 8/30/18 so end of October beginning of November I’d assume.

Was a painless process to apply. They asked how I was eligible and I stated that my gpa served in the marines. She asked whether it was a retirement or honorable discharge and that was all! Didn’t even ask me my gpas name which I thought was awkward, but oh well I’m in!

2) I also thought you were referring to a credit app vs just joining.....
I don't think a BK would exclude one from becoming a member...so as to not run others away, please don't be shy come on aboard the Navy ship
