Why did you opt for BMW and Audi as opposed to a $15000-$20000 2015-2016?
I certainly understand the "I can't live without a car of some sort" but a certified pre-owned Honda, Nissan, Chevy, etc seems more prudent than the makes you chose for a "we needed a car" option.
I'm in a similar "will need some sort of car" boat. I'll probably grab a Nissan Versa or similar, CPO. Found a Chevy Volt, 2017, for $14000 but I'm wondering if at less than half the price of a new one if it's been in an accident or something.
