Congratulations and it is a huge relief.  Now starts the long road to rebulding your credit.  This forum will be a great source on how to do that.

Congrats! Welcome to the world of rebuilding!

Remember to take your time as you start the process. Make a plan. Think about which lines of credit you want and see what it will take to get there. I would definitely look at the prequal site for Cap1. If you want a secured card the OpenSky card doesn't do a credit pull and it only requires a $200 opening deposit.

Remember, rebuilding is a marathon, not a sprint. Good luck!

Thanks cruznmore.... I am definitely looking forward to reestablishing our credit ratings.... Fortunately we were able to be approved for a capital one card already, unsecured. And today.... I took the plunge and applied for NFCU n rewards. I applied with a nice rep over the phone and they gave me the "your application is being reviewed". I messaged the approval dept, explained our situation and history. Shortly after that, I got a message stating that I was APPROVED for a 500 limit and that my cc will be here within 10 business days! I couldn't believe my eyes! I will definitely treat them well and I'm so thankful to them for granting me a chance to rebuild with them!

Congrats !!! I still have 7 days for "objections to discharge" .... Does anyone know when exactly the discharge date be??? 12/21 would be the 60th day.... I really want this over!

Our obj to discharge was 11/29 ( which was a Sunday). We were discharged 12/10
