I was divorced in 2010 and in my divorce decree it states that I am personally liable for all of my husbands credit card debt. I was paying on them until I encountered difficulty and then filed bankruptcy in March 2013. I included the debt I was responsible for in the bankruptcy, including all the debt I inherited from him due to the divorce decree. Today, a deputy visited my house looking for my ex-husband to serve him papers. I did not tell him where he lived. It was from Portfolio Recovery for a debt that was included in the bankruptcy. My name was not on the summons, only his. Do you think I should write or contact them to advise that this debt was included in the BK7 that was discharged in July 2013?
