Hello!
I have read so much useful information on these boards already-- I have an appt tomorrow morning to meet with my lawyer to file Ch 7. I came to thinking-- one of the cc's I am burning in the bankruptcy is from my CU, whom I have a savings and checking from. I have $0 in my savings, and my checking is overdrafted over $500.
From what I have read, because I am burning the CU CC, they are going to shut down my membership, correct?
I was debating on paying the ~$500 overdraft back to continue to use them, but if they are going to end my membership, what's the point??
I have a secondary checking and savings account from a local bank-- The checking has been opened at least 3 years, and the savings as of 10 minutes ago in lieu of this.
Any thoughts?? Am I right in putting the overdraft amount in BK??
From what I read, ChexSystems is usually only checked while opening an account, so the other bank will not close my account because of my hx with them, right?
Thank you so, so much. This is my favorite forum ever!
Welcome to myFICO! Can I ask what credit union this is? You absolutely need to include the overdraft amount in the BK. It sounds like it may just be easier to cut ties at this point. Good luck!
Thank you Scupra! It is a local CU from RI, I will have to declare the overdraft in the BK. Thank you again!
