Question about Judgement

Ok, I filed chapter 7 in 3/07, it was discharged 7/07.  I have a civil judgement for a credit card with HSBC showing in the Public Records section of my credit report.  For type it says "Civil Judgement in Bankruptcy" and for amount due it says "3,626"  is this ok, I have tried disputing it, and contacting the courthouse, but have really not had any success, my question would be, do I need to get the amount changed to zero on my credit report.  Thank you.

Re: Question about Judgement

Hello,

Should be a $0 liability under chapter 7.  Family or child support cannot be wiped clean with a chapter 7.  It depends on what kind of civil judgement.  Please let me know.

Re: Question about Judgement

I am sorry for the lack of information, it was for a credit card account originally, the original creditor is showing a zero balance, but the judgement is showing as included in Bankruptcy, but the amount owing is still showing $3700.  Who should I contact to try to change that to a zero balance??

Thank you in advance
