I have read around on building credit here for a while now. I recently went through a Bk and it was discharged about 2 months ago. It was the hardest decision I had to make at such a young age but it was the best for my family. I would like suggestions on being able to build credit the safest way possible. I burned Cap 1, Credit 1, 2 Local Credit Unions, Barclays, NFCU (Hurt the most).
Things I have done Post DC:
Verified all accounts show as discharge except Student Loans
Opened Self Account
Open Secured Credit Card With TD Bank
Open Ollo Credit Card $300 Limit
Open Premier Bank Credit Card $700 Limit
My goal is to simply let my credit sit and be used the minium as possible but I would like to be able to get a travel rewards card to be able to earn travel on my everyday bills and someday use the points for my vacations from work.
Any suggestion would help. I started working on mine and next would be time to work on the credit for my wife.
