I would get a secured card before I got the Surge card, personally.

Check out the review that Beverly Harzog posted (Google Search for this). In short, Surge is your average high-fee no-name credit card (Have you ever heard of the issuer, Celtic Bank?).

Surge is issued by Continental Finance.  They are not BK friendly.  Not worth the hard pull.

In my experience, they are very BK friendly. They charge high fees, who else do you think they are targeting?  But just make sure to look at the fees they charge you and make sure you are okay with it. The Surge card is probably the very first card I was approved for right after I was discharged for BK CH7 two years ago. I was okay with the fees, since I just wanted to rebuild. Yes, I could've gone with a secured card, but the card served it's purpose. I closed the card after a year.
