Daaaayyyyyuuuummmm.....! Makes you wonder if anybody really knows the best path to a rebuild.
I'm 8 months posts DC, and my scores have been stuck at TU 620, EX 623 and EQ 652. Those were nearly my scores soon after DC.
Acquired 3 new unsecured cards for $2200 Credit One, $2500 local CU, and $1100 OLLO that already got auto CLI'd to $2600....and KOHLS with 4 yr history and $3000 limit survived BK>
Student loans reporting perfect as well.
Reports were clean prior to filing. Just pulled my TU to look at my soft pulls, and none of the 40 accts are reporting any negative marks.
EX is showing all my accts as 'deroratory' though,, it's an EX and just have to live with apparently.
5% on 1 card, 1% DTI, 6 inquiries total.
I feel like EQ is where i should be. The other 2 are slacking.
Sorry for the somewhat threadjack, just starting to think i'm doing something wrong?
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!
Quick update.. I am now 7 months out and scores are:
FICO8:
EQ - 708
TU - 690
EX - 683
FICO9:
EQ - 751
TU - 737
EX - 717
FICO9 scores blow me away!
Not much has changed since my last post.. keeping util under 5% and I do have one new installment with local credit union (they have been amazing). Also refi'd my car with them and went from 8% interest to 4%!
Your post shows there is light at the end of the tunnel ! I'm expecting to receive my discharge next week. How long did it take to open up al the unsecured cards post discharge?
I am a part of a few credit unions so thinking of tossing together a couple secure cards from NavyFed, Schools First, and maybe Altura since I'm in good standing with all then work on unsecured ones.
My auto Loan isn't reaffirmed but keeping it for now since due to covid I'm furloughed but once I get back my income goes up substantially back to normal I plan on getting a new vehicle probably around 6 months out.
Congrats on the great success!
