TransUnion & Equifax

Hello,

I hope everyone is doing well. My BK7 discharged on January 4th. I have about 4 builder cards since then. I do not collections, evictions or judgements.  Experian is showing several lates around the time that I filed which I have disputed because none of my bill were late. Now TransUnion & Equifax has no lates, like there's no payment history at all.  Seems odd to me. How would I go about repairing if there's no lates? I'm trying to build my credit back to what it was but a bit unsure.

Thanks!

Congrats on your discharge.

According to my own experience and reading on the forums here it is not unusual for lenders to remove the payment history or even the entire account fron the CRAs when you file for BK.

Same thing happened to me when I filed. Some accounts with perfect payment history just started reporting no payment history at all.

I am not sure there is anything you can do about it since the creditor itself is the one reporting the accout that way.

Maybe someone here with more experience in this area can chime in.

Re: TransUnion & Equifax

I don't know what the bank's policy is on these, but about two thirds of my accounts completely disappeared from my credit report within a month after discharge. Some of them even left the credit report a month before my 341 (or whatever the number was) meeting. In a way, I think it helped since the lates and delinquencies were removed, you are basically starting with a somewhat clean slate. (other than the public record on your report of course.

Christelh123, We're in the same boat and it will be 2 years in May for the discharge chapter 7.  10 cards are reporting late on all 3 bureaus and I have disputed them all 2 times with no help.  I think betweeen your filing and discharge they consider them late..it's a mess and won't drop off.  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...If there's anyone who has a way to eliminate this I'd love to hear it....  I have NEVER been a minute late on a card ever and no collections, judgements or anything else but now we're living with 10 lates 30-60 days.
