Is it true if you have an auto loan with them that you didn't reaffirm in your Chapter 7, they will cancel your auto insurance? I get that they'll cancel it on the car you didn't reaffirm. I bought a different car and insured it through them. I was just dischaged on Jan 12 and haven't been canceled yet.
Also, will USAA close my checking and savings account because of the bankruptcy? Should I move my money to another bank?
I don't know much about CH7s, so I can't offer advice about re/affirm nor insurance, but during my CH13 I was advise to move all my money out of any bank I listed as a creditor. I think it would be smart to move your money to a different bank.

So the loan and the insurance are both through USAA? In that case, probably a policy thing for them. If you are keeping the car and paying for it, you can always insure with someone else. They can't cancel insurance with another provider.
They might be able to keep your checking/savings against what you owe on the car, many credit unions can, though most big banks are not able to. Mostly comes down to their corporate setup. I wouldn't take the risk.
I did not reaffirm my car with them. They came and got it. I called and scheduled it.
I got another car a month later. With a high interest rate (YUCK!)
But I have insurance - both home and auto, a checking, savings, a secured credit card.
They didn't cancel anything.
I wonder if they'll let me refinance my car through them? Anyone know? Highly unlikely is my guess. Even though my credit a year later is 693.
I'm a year out of having my Chap 7 discharged.
I did not reaffirm my car with USAA. I called and had them pick it up. A month later I got another car with a much higher interest. Now after one year do you think USAA would allow me to refinance? Probably not?
I have rebuilt my credit. Equifax is 695, Tu is 644. My utilization is 8% on my capital one card.
Anyone have any experience? Pen Fed wouldn't let me because I burned them and my bk is too new.
Most reports are that you wouldn't be able to get back in with USAA after burning them, but one person in this post mentioned that they were successful. Probably no harm in asking USAA if they'd consider a refi.
Also if you're eligible for NFCU membership have you tried with them ?
