So I had to do BK due to the pandemic. It barely got finalized last year, but since then I've done pretty good rehab and have a 700 FICO.
I burned -
Chase, Discover, Capital One, Wells Fargo, Bank of America
In the Bankrupcty so I'm guessing all of those are a no go, at least for a couple more years.
Currently have -
USAA Credit Card $2,500
Mission Lane Credit Card - $2,000
Ally Credit Card - $1,000
And did a 6 month Secured Loan to boost FICO.
Applied for CC with Navy Fed Denied and with my local CU denied.
Basically, anywhere I apply I'm getting rejected even with the 700 FICO (CK shows 720 but that can't ever be trusted) right now (except Credit One but they're trash with an annual fee). So should I just sit with what I've got or try to build more?
I was thinking maybe store cards are a good way to go, but I'm not sure which one.
Thoughts?

re: nfcu/CU denials, I'd get your chex report looked at, if it's dirty or not reporting properly, get it cleaned up

Nope, Chex is clean I have checking accounts at NFCU and local CU was only denied for CC's.

You could try the Navy nRewards Secured card
I definitely could but it would just sit in the drawer. I'm looking for a card I could actually use and with some type of SUB (even if it's fairly minimal).
My USAA Card with the $2,500 CL gave me a $200 SUB plus 1.5x per $1 spent.
Decided to take a shot as I'm 8 months post CH7 for a CapOne QS. I got instantly denied and in the letter I received got this message -
"Thank you for applying for a credit card issued by Capital One®. Unfortunately, after reviewing your application, we cannot approve your request at this time.
The reason(s) for our decision are:
• Based on your application information, we observed activity on a prior Capital One account that is not consistent with our expectations for account usage or the terms of the account agreement"

I kept getting that message on their pre-approval page until one day I didn't. Just keep periodically checking the pre-approval tool and one day it will come up with a card/cards you are pre-approved for. It took 10 months for them to let me back in after I had burned them.

I guess so. I've read a lot of others say try around the 1 year mark. I'm wondering though when people say 1 year, or 5 years or even 7 years is it from the filing date or the discharge date?
I filed in June 2023, but discharged in December.
