I would think so.. I also have one card reporting 40% util haha yikes!

Both my smaller CapOne cards are at 80%...  with 0% 18 month BT offers.   I lost 8 points on EQ when they reported.  The world didn't end.

The UTI game is great when you are planning to buy a car/house in the next 30 days... otherwise it isn't anything to OCD about.  No big purchase plans here and I've already said my scores aren't anything I'm worried about right now.  I'm just continuing to garden for 6+ months while paying down my revolving balances... once my CRs are clear then I'll focus more on score watching.

hahahah, lol on the "the world didnt end comment"..

Re: What to expect when the 10 years are up?

...what does it mean to garden? ...and where do I find the translation for all the acronyms being used?

I AM OCD about my score because I'm in the middle of buying a new construction and I want to get the best rate and deal possible and I'm borderline, so any few points helps.     I was hoping that once the BK drops it would be smooth sailing, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.  I'm still all over the place, but mainly in the mid to upper 600's.  So you can imagine when it drops I become anxious, but it looks like I just gained another 3 point, total of 10 since last week.  We shall see.  I think another hard pull is done at close, expected around mid to late sept.  Hope to see higher scores too.

How exactly did you make this happen? I will like to follow those steps.

Get some of your IIB accounts removed. Or did they just fall off?

Re: What to expect when the 10 years are up?

.....so I got an Alert today.......one of my credit card balance went down $ 100.00.   Normally that would give me either no change or maybe a +3 at best.  Today my score shot up +44. WOAA!  The heavens have opened, the trumpets are playing and the doves are hovering above.  (Lol, see my initial post)

i guess  it takes a while for the score to catch up to the credit report.  Now crossing my fingers that Transunion and Experian to catch up.

YAY!

Re: What to expect when the 10 years are up?

blueleo65 - To add a comment, FICO Scores have different "buckets" (can't remember if it is 10 or 14) and after major credit profile changes (for whatever reason) FICO may rebucket you to a profile that is closer to your current status. In English you may get bumped from a bucket with others with a BK7 and placed in a new bucket with those not in a BK when you first come out of a BK. It has been mentioned that some of us built solid credit files during the ten year BK7 cycle which enhanced our status coming out of the BK. Re-bucketing could cause a score change not at the level some of us reported. Remember, you may end up with others not in a BK status and your score is lower than it will be once you grow your credit file in the non-BK world. Oh, forgot to mention, you have no control over the moving between buckets other than what you do to impact your credit file. I spent time over several years making sure I legally disputed any reporting lender that was out of date or wrong (made a difference in the score) which lead to investigations and generally removal of the disputed item. Did not hire any company or attorney and yes, it took time. Unlike many posters on this website, from 2001 to 2009 no lender of quality would touch my profile so I had lots of low level accounts (all closed now). As has been mentioned, once the BK is off the credit bureaus, the lenders still remember as they have no obligation legally to clean their files out. All of that said, it amazes me the hell I went through to even get a card after a BK and today posters report just rolling along so times have sure changed Smiley Happy
